Nengren Temple on Baiyun Mountain, Guangzhou

The Nengren Temple, located on Baiyun Mountain, Guangzhou. It was first built in the reigns of Emperors Xian Feng(1850-1861) and Tong Zhi (1861-1875) of the Qing Dynasty. In its early days, the temple attracted a lot of worshippers, but was destroyed during the War of Resistance against Japan. The temple contains a number of historic sites, including the “Tiger” inscription, the Sweet Spring Water, the Jade Rainbow Pond, the “Floating Clouds over the Moon” sight, and the ancient bridge. The temple reopened in May 1995 following a reconstruction. It’s the gem of the restored historical sites in Baiyun Mountain, attracting an endless stream of tourists and pilgrims for its magnificence and rich cultural heritage.

Chinese Philosophy of Success and Failure During Life Span On Earth

Good luck ! Bad luck! Success ! Failure! Always are associated in one’s life from the birth to the death.

Every human on this earth, regardless of his religion and race, is fighting for his/her better future. However, the different is so thorough and huge from one individual to another individual, when, the outcome is concern. Meaning to say, NO one is going to get the same RESULT/LUCK eventhough the SAME EFFORT has been done. This is a fact of our daily life which we witness and see by our eyes.

Methodology of Destiny Design

Success and Failure in this life of oneself very much depend on TWO basic concepts; Destiny and Fate.

a) Destiny 命运

Destiny is the Fate with the add-on human determinant/effort/intervention(Humantics). Destiny is the life outcome after human correction by any means. The Outcome of life depend on the degree and extend how the human exercise his wisdom and advancement of his methodologies in life re-directing. In the context of Master Soon, destiny is the course of events which is actualized through the ultimate interplay among Heavenly Factors (Cosmantics 天理), Earthly Factors (Goemantics地理) & Man Factors (Humantics人理).

b) Fate 宿命

Fate is destiny without the human determinant/effort/intervention (Humantics). Fate is the principle or determining cause or will by which things in general are supposed to come to be as they are or events to happen as they do. In Indian concept, it is similar to KARMA. In the context of Master Soon, Fate is the course of events which is realized through the inevitable interplay between Heavenly Factor (Cosmantics) & Earthly Factor(Geomantics), without the role of Man (Humantics).

Metaphysical Methodology in Luck Changing – A Basic Introduction

As a metaphysician, I focus more on a) destiny aspect, as, the value of a metaphysician is embedded at this level. The value of a metaphysician is upon the fact that destiny of one could be controlled and well handled. according to concept a) Destiny 命运.

Basically, there are 3 factors to be controlled in order to changing one’s luck, namely:

1) Cosmantics – Celestial Realm (including angelic and spiritual dimensions)

2) Humantics – Human Realm (Metaphysical Knowledge,Ethics and Metaphysical Methods)

3) Geomantics – Earth Realm (REAL feng shui, Dragon Spot, Law of the Earth)

A master MUST comprehend these three factors mentioned above in order to change one’s luck and destiny on earth. I would say bazi (Chinese birth data info) is just a reference point. Bazi is only sub-subdivision of Humantics level…. It is a very misleading info that , one could change his luck by focusing purely on bazi, or , on feng shui alone.

Bazi, a birth data to read your luck on this earth by Chinese calculation, is a very powerful “luck reader”. It is just like data report on stock market TREND. However, this kind of data report has NO power to change or re-direct the future trend of the stock market. In reality, more powerful intervention from political and economic influences onto stock market, would surely and ultimately lead to BIG change in stock market outcome.

Brothers and sisters, so does this happens in the process of Luck Changing. It needs a higher realms and higher authorities,and higher metaphysical methods to intervene one’s luck cycle and get the luck’s pattern to be changed, to be re-directed and also to be re-wiritten. Without Interplay of Cosmantics, Humantics and Geomantics; it is impossible to change one’s luck effectively, truely,thoroughly and holistically. Making some data changing in Bazi alone, has NOT reached and has NOT capitalize the higher realm and higher authority in term of LUCK IINTERVENTION/ CHANGE. This is a very simple logic understanding. Luck changing is a PROCESS. It is not “data changing”.

For example, a marketing manager sets his regional market target as 3 millions sales for year 2011. He breakdowns the marketing data report in a sub-regional and sub-division categories. He tries very hard for sales data changing and makes the data looks great each and everyday. However, he has no idea about HOW , WHAT and WHERE to carryout actual and real marketing strategies and implementations. He has no idea about marketing and sales strategies. Do you think that he is going to get the RESULT and OUTCOME as the way he CONTROLED data. The answer is NO. In the same way, changing one bazi or any self-believed “bazi-changing” or a flying star feng shui could change one’s luck is categoried as HIGHLY superstitious

Professionally and academically, if LUCK could be easily re-directed by “bazi data changing” alone, “flying stars feng shui” alone, or any method ALONE; it means you are greater and more powerful than at least 6 world religions. Namely, Buddhism, Daoism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

In my olden day of feng shui training, we were exposed to various religions and school of thoughts. Religion and philosophy were and are always important part of our metaphysician training. I could still remember how Daoism were imparted in my olden day of learning and training. However, in 21th century, this kind of training has disappeared drastically due to heavy commercialization of feng shui. Honestly speaking, those students who are trained in Mandarin Medium (who can write and speak Mandarin) are more REAL and TRUE in term of Chinese BAZI, Feng Shui and metaphysical Wisdom. Brothers and Sisters of Feng Shui, if you could read Mandarin, you should refer to Mandarin Classic in order to avoid distorted and FAKE knowledge.

Kinship & Ancestral Hall Feng Shui 宗祠血缘性风水布局

In May 2011 before I went to Guangzhou, a group of people called me up for feng shui meeting. After attending and listening to their request, then, I notice they are the committees of a Chinese Ancestral Hall (a branch of kinship who share the same surname and same root from China). Thet are the President, Vice President, Secretary and Tresurer who attended this meeting.

An ancestral hall (Chinese: 祠堂; pinyin: Cí táng or Chinese: 宗祠; pinyin: Zōng Cí) or lineage temple is a site of ancestor worship in Chinese culture. Ancestral halls are closely linked to Confucian culture and the emphasis that it places on filial piety.

A common central feature of the ancestral halls are the ancestral tablets that embody the ancestral spirits . The ancestral tablets are typically arranged by seniority of the ancestors. Altars and other ritual objects such as incense burners are also common fixtures.

The halls are used for collective rituals and festivals in honor of the ancestors but also for other family- and community-related functions such as weddings and funerals. They also sometimes serve for wider community functions such as meetings and local elections.

Guangzhou Feng Shui 2 – Hong Kong & Macau

Although Hong Kong & Macau are famous internationally, however, these 2 cities are just play the role as Left Right "Body Guard" of Water Mouth to Guangzhou. Hong Kong and Macau were just fishing villages before the arrival of Portuguese and later English in 16th & 17th century, while, Guangzhou has been a township since 2000 years ago...........

THE BACKGROUND OF 2 “BODY GUARD” OF GUANGZHOU 广州左青龙右白虎之历史北景

Portuguese merchants settled in Macau and governed themselves since the time of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644 AD), first establishing a foothold in 1535, though Portugal’s involvement was only formalized by the Qing Dynasty in 1749. Following the First Opium War and the Treaty of Nanking, the emboldened Portuguese Governor made an attempt to govern the Chinese citizens of Macau, by expelling Qing authorities on Macau in 1846, but the Governor was assassinated. After the Second Opium War, the Portuguese government, along with a British representative, signed the Sino-Portuguese Treaty of Peking that gave Portugal sovereignty over Macau, with the caveat that Portugal would cooperate with anti-smuggling efforts against opium. The transfer of sovereignty of Macau from the Portuguese Republic to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) occurred on 20 December 1999.

The transfer of the sovereignty of Macau was a significant historical event in Macau, as it returned Macau to the People’s Republic of China. Because the transfer and the idea of one country, two systems were considered to be successful, the Macau Special Administrative Region, the Legislative Assembly and the Judiciary were all put into practice accordingly under the regulation of the Basic Law.

Hong Kong’s territory was acquired from three separate treaties: the Treaty of Nanking in 1842, the Treaty of Beijing in 1860, and The Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory in 1898, which gave the United Kingdom the control of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon (area south of Boundary Street), and the New Territories (area north of Boundary Street and south of the Shenzhen River, and outlying islands), respectively. Although Hong Kong Island and Kowloon had been ceded to the United Kingdom in perpetuity, the control on the New Territories was a 99-year lease. The transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to the People’s Republic of China, referred to as ‘the Return’ or ‘the Reunification’ by the Chinese and ‘the Handover’ by others, took place on 1 July, 1997. The event marked the end of British rule, and the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong to China.

GENERAL

Guangzhou, also (especially formerly) known as Canton or Kwangchow,is the capital and largest city of the Guangdong province in the People’s Republic of China. Located in southern China on the Pearl River, about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong, Guangzhou is a key national transportation hub and trading port.One of the five National Central Cities, it holds sub-provincial administrative status.

Guangzhou is the third-largest city in China and southern China’s largest city. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 6 million, and an urban area population of roughly 11.85 million, making it the third most populous metropolitan area in China. Some estimates place the population of the entire urban agglomeration as high as 24.2 million, making it the 2nd biggest urban area in the world after Tokyo. The Guangzhou government’s official estimate of the city’s population at the end of 2009 was 10,334,500, an addition of 152,500 people from the previous year.When the migrant (defined as being present in the city 6 months or more) population is included, the city’s population is over 14 mln.

GEOGRAPHY 地理

Located in the south-central portion of Guangdong, Guangzhou spans from 112° 57′ to 114° 03′ E longitude and 22° 26′ to 23° 56′ N latitude. The city is part of the Pearl River Delta and the city centre is situated next to the Baiyun Mountain, which is locally referred to as ‘the lung of the city’ (市肺).^[6]^[29] The total area under the city’s administration is 7,434.4 square kilometres (2,870.4 sq mi), with the 10 districts occupying 3,843.43 square kilometres (1,483.96 sq mi), or 51.7% of the total, while the two county-level cities occupy the rest.

The elevation of the prefecture generally increases from southwest to northeast, with mountains forming the backbone of the city, and the ocean comprising the front.

HISTORY 历史

A city with history of more than two thousand years. The first known city built at the site of Guangzhou was Panyu (Fan-Yü) ( 蕃禺, later simplified to 番禺; Poon Yu in Cantonese) founded in 214 BC. The area has been continuously occupied since then. Panyu expanded when it became capital of the Nanyue Kingdom (南越) in 206 BC, the territory of the Nanyue Kingdom included what is now Vietnam 越南.

The Han Dynasty annexed the Nanyue Kingdom in 111 BC and Panyu became a provincial capital and remains so today. In 226 AD, Panyu became the seat of Guang Prefecture (廣州; Guangzhou). While originally referring to prefecture only, local citizens gradually adopted the custom of using the same name for their city

CLIMATE 气候

Located just south of the Tropic of Cancer, Guangzhou has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa) influenced by the Asian monsoon. Summers are wet with high temperatures, high humidity and a high heat index. Winters are mild and comparatively dry. Guangzhou has a lengthy monsoon season, spanning from April through September. Monthly averages range from 13.6 °C (56.5 °F) in January to 28.6 °C (83.5 °F) in July, while The annual average temperature in Guangzhou is 22.6 °C (72.7 °F), the relative humidity is approximately 68%, whereas annual rainfall in the metropolitan area is over 1,700 mm (67 in). Extreme temperatures have ranged from 0 °C (32 °F) to 39.1 °C (102 °F).

GUANGZHOU SUPER ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE 广州与其超级经济成长

Guangzhou, this southern city plans to expand its economy by 11 percent in year 2011 after reporting a 2010 gross domestic product (GDP) worth more than 1 trillion yuan ($152 billion). The ultimate goal of the development is to help improve the living standard of the city’s 13 million residents and make them feel happier living in the city. In his government work report, the mayor said the city’s per capita GDP – or GDP divided by the number of people living in the city – will grow by 10 percent in 2011, while the growth of per capita income for urban residents will remain at 11 percent.

Guangzhou’s GDP reached 1.06 trillion yuan in 2010, which was double its size in 2005. But the per capita income of urban residents only grew by 67.6 percent during the period, lagging behind the economic growth.

The city’s GDP grew by 13 percent from 2009 to 2010, placing Guangzhou among a small number of cities that have at least a trillion yuan in GDP. The “1-trillion yuan group” also includes Beijing and Shanghai.

To strike a better balance between the growth in GDP and per capita income, Guangzhou will concentrate this year on improving its industrial structure and adopting polices aimed at benefiting residents. Through continuous optimization and upgrading of the industrial sector, Guangzhou will accelerate its shift to the tertiary sector as the focus of its economic development.

Guangzhou’s service industry grew by 12.6 percent in 2010, accounting for 60 percent of the city’s GDP and contributing 7.5 percentage points to the city’s total growth in GDP.

“The successful hosting of the 16th Asian Games and Asian Para Games last year has helped boost Guangzhou’s international image. Guangzhou will do more in the years ahead to make people benefit more from the social and economic development we have already achieved in the past five years.”

The people-oriented government work report has been interpreted by many as a signal of the government’s determination to strike a balance between economic growth and per capita income during the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015).

Feng Shui @ Yuan Xuan Chinese Temple, Hong Kong (圆玄学院)

I visited Yuan Xuan Chinese Temple 圆玄学院 [Yuán Xuán Xué Yuàn] in Tsuen Wan 荃湾 [Quán Wān] many years ago. The field work showed that it was built in accordance to feng shui 风水 [fēngshuǐ] requirements. I always encourage feng shui student to do field work to enhance their feng shui understanding because theories in books could not help you to see and experience real feng shui as the language itself could not describe the greatness of nature fully.

To understand why the temple was built in North South alignment, we need command the knowledge of feng shui topography, physical geography and landscape. All these you would never learn by sitting in the feng shui classroom. Frankly speaking, you would not be able to master the art of land selection and town planning if you only know Flying Star 玄空飞星 [Xuán Kōng Fēi Xīng], Eight Mansions (also known as Ba Zhai) 八宅 [bā zhái] or The Book of Changes (also known as I Ching) 易经 [yìjīng] alone WITHOUT the knowledge of how to integrate land form into Compass School. Why only North South alignment is selected but not others?

Firstly, you need to understand that Da Mao Shan Mountain (大帽山) is the Main Mountain (祖山) in this area Tsuen Wan. Feng shui starts from the basic geography knowledge but these are not secretive formulas. The building alignment was set in such a way to make Da Mao Shan Mountain to be its supporting mountain and at the same time, to receive the dragon force from this mountain. This Chinese Temple is located in the inner layer of the Tiger Dragon focus point. Generally, only temple, church or mosque are qualified to be located in the inner layer as normal residential house is not strong enough to receive the forceful power from the mountain.

From Google Earth, it is clearly that Yuan Xuan Temple is located along the spot in the ideal model of “Left Green Tiger & Right White Tiger”. This is a good example to comprehend how Form School is integrated into spot selection. By selecting the correct location, it means the feng shui audit and activation has completed 60%. This “60%” contributes the cornerstones and fundamental strength to the compass school whether be Xuan Kong Da Gua (”Secret Decree” or 64 gua relationships) XKDG, Xuan Kong Fei Xing (Flying Stars methods of time and directions) XKFX, I Ching, San Yuan Dragon Gate Eight Formation, San He Shui Fa (water methods), etc. arrangement or orientation. This 60% also provides the determinant factor to your land selection cum successful, effective feng shui application.

Why most of the time your feng shui activation does not give you the minimum result that should come along the way? Why XKDG and XKFX do not “fulfill their feng shui prophecy”? Why always “Feng Shui Messianic Savior” promised by Grand Feng Shui master does not born into that particular house after applying XKDG, San He Shui Fa, 3 Cycles 9 Period or 2 Cycle 8 Period ?

The apartments are located at the outer focus point as shown in Photo 3. Imagine if the housing estate is located in the inner focus point and the temple moved to outer focus point, the temple would not be as grand as you witness now. This tells you that land selection is an important factor in feng shui construction. There are ample spaces at the front. The building was designed to have grand Ming Tang fronting. By selecting the right spot, the whole building enjoys even bigger fronting as the temple is facing the whole residential areas below the hill.

However, If you see from Macro View as below, the typical explanation of [ Left Dragon, Right Tiger, Back Turtle Front Phoenix ] will be shaken; you comprehension of feng shui Dragon will be challenged. The So called – <Left Dragon – White Tiger > concept will be paralysed/powerless/crippled/handicapped/helpless/hopeless and becomes dead.

Land Formation is NOT about rigid concept of Left Dragon-Right Tiger-Front Pheonix -Back Turtle. It is a very comprehensive technique know-how.....

On 20th November 2008, I was invited to Amber Chia’s house for feng shui audit. I was informed that this house has been audited by two“well-known” feng shui master in Kuala Lumpur. The first feng shui master, JY audited the house early of the year 2008. Whereby, the second feng shui master, KH came to audit on 18th July 2008, after house warming. According to Amber Chia, Master JY mentioned that the water pond at North Sector should be removed instantly as Grand Duke is at that particular North sector in year 2008 which I personally totally agree. However, I do not agree to replace the pond with a plant which after suggested by Amber Chia’s designer, and this is the tree eventually cost “near death incident” to her which I will touch on later.

From my geomantic measurement and after identifying the center point of the house, it is noted that the main door is located at North West Sector. According to Amber Chia, Master JY did not ask her to change the door orientation as the way Master KH consulted.

On the 18 July 2008, Master KH came to the house and audited the house for the second time within a few months. According to Amber Chia, Master KH consulted that an extra door should be added at North West Sector to tap the “good feng shui”. Therefore, she added an extra door just next to the original main door as advised by him.

If you are a feng shui practitioner, you would instantly tell me the danger of having 2 MAIN DOORs at the same sector, North West sector. North West represents Money and Husband, if you know Yijing (易经), you would know the implications to construct an extra door at NW sector. At this point, I disagree with double main doors suggestion.

The Original Main Door Facing Proposed by JY, but opposed by KH....

To my surprise, the 2nd feng Shui master did not pin point the harmful physical feng shui at the house which nearly caused Amber’s life recently, and it happened especially in year of Rat 2008!
